Communal living places are becoming an option for people in New York City who want to save a few dollars in rent and don’t mind the college feel.
According to MarketWatch, co-living companies like Common and WeLive are creating luxurious and fully furnished apartments with shared living rooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens.
Rents, which can approach $2,000 but are still cheaper than options elsewhere in the city, include utilities, Wi-Fi, cleaning service, and even items like toilet paper, sheets, and towels.
