In its most recent Local Pay Report, Glassdoor found the U.S. cities where reported wages are growing the fastest.
According to CNBC, recent data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics shows that U.S. wages are currently growing by 3.1 percent, but when adjusted for inflation, workers are seeing less than 1 percent increase. Over the last year, Glassdoor found that the median base pay for workers increased 2.6 percent in November to $52,943.
The five cities seeing the fastest wage growth were Seattle, Boston, Washington, D.C., New York, and San Francisco. Each city saw wage growth over 2.8 percent, with median incomes starting at $60,783.
