According to Fast Company, Amazon’s “obsession with selling you stuff” could be a perfect fit for the automated home of the future.
Here comes Echo Home, Amazon’s home automation product that, unlike its other products, was released without much fanfare last September. In fact, purchasing the item can only be done with an invitation.
Echo Home reads things in the home that need replacement, light bulbs for example, and notifies homeowners through a computerized voice. Homeowners can respond verbally, and authorize an order for new ones from the Amazon store.
