Millennials who rent are looking to Texas and the Southeast.
Housing Wire analyzed a report from RealtyTrac and found that five counties (the ones that contain Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Durham, N.C.) have seen a rise in their population of people ages 22 to 36, and that those people are spending 27 percent or less of their income on rent.
Meanwhile, on the other end of the spectrum, two New York City boroughs (Queens and Brooklyn) are the worst places for Millennials. There, they spend, on average, 43 percent of their income on rent.
