Not surprisingly, single and unmarried women homebuyers fare best in the Queen City.
Through analysis from Owners.com, CNBC ranked the best housing markets for single women, with Cincinnati earning the top spot. The list factored in home values, crime rates, walkability, and median female income.
Other good destinations for female buyers include Kansas City, Dallas, Albany, N.Y., and Atlanta.
Single and unmarried women have been outpacing single and unmarried men in homeownership since 1981, with no end to the trend in sight, according to the National Association of Realtors (NAR). In 2016, 17% of single and unmarried women were homeowners, compared to 7% of single and unmarried men.
