Retro- and professional-grade kitchen appliance maker Big Chill has unveiled a new product that draws inspiration from a 1930s icebox.
Offering modern performance with a timeless design, the fridge appliance was designed “to emulate what we call the OG fridge of the 1930s,” the company says.
“Following the bureau-like silhouette of traditional models and infusing it with all the need-to-have modern day conveniences, the Classic Fridge pays homage to the innovators of the 20th century,” Big Chill explains. “The fridge fuses a French-door blueprint with carefully curated hardware for an aesthetic that asserts timeliness and luxury in the kitchen space.”
The bottom-freezer unit features an internal water dispenser, interior LED lighting, and a digital temperature management system with duo-cycle cooling. It also offers horizontal handle pulls set on square plates and distinctive hinges outfitted with decorative steeples.
Energy Star rated, the fridge is available in a variety of rich colorways, including Cabernet, French Blue, Cream, Matte Black, and White. It also can be orderd in more than 200 custom color options.
The counter-depth unit offers a total capacity of 22.3 cubic feet--6.56 in the freezer and 13.3 for the refrigerator.
