Business Insider reports that Baca Architects, a firm that specializes in waterfront architecture, has designed an amphibious home.
The design is for a private client, and it will rest on the River Thames, designed to rise with the water level and become buoyant. The lightweight timber home was built so that underneath the home is a concrete dock that fills gradually from the ground and gently raises the building with the water levels.
