Home builders are keen to introduce homes that generate more electricity than they consume to the masses, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Some builders are motivated by what they see as rising demand from buyers and regulators. But with a price of $700,000 — which is the price of a smaller, net-zero home built by Blue Heron Design/Build — other builders are skeptic on how financially ready the US public is for electricity-generating housing.
