Design web magazine Fast Company Exist showcases net-zero homes built by Blu Homes, a Bay Area builder aiming to make affordable, attractive, eco-friendly prefab homes.
Using its online software, Blu Homes allows buyers to customize their home down to the smallest details by mixing and matching all the available pre-fabricated elements.
The homes are pricey, but Fast Company Exist reports that Blu aims to do to the factory model of home production what Ford did for cars, resulting in a high volume of production that lowers costs.
