Homeowners in democratic-leaning blue states have a higher median home value ($264,100) and median household income ($80,718) than counterparts in republican red states ($152,00 and $68,253, respectively).
NAR’s Economists’ Outlook blog took a look at the housing preferences of a typical homeowner who resides in a traditional blue and red state. Apart from those housing and income values, which can be attributed to the chasm of real estate prices between coastal and inland areas, most stats were about the same for each group.
Comparing homeowners of Blue and Red states, it seems that they don’t have significant differences, among the characteristics examined here, other than home values and median household income.
Other characteristics examined include household size, number of rooms, and homeownership rate.
