After launching a 300-home building program last year, Empire Communities announced that it will build a dozen more homes in the Houston area.
Located in the Woodforest development, the new houses will be between 2,900 and 3,500 square feet and sell in the high $300,000s, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Empire Communities entered Texas last year. The company, which is based in Ontario, Canada, has plans to building 300 homes in Dellrose, a 600-acre development northwest of Houston.
"We are on target to solidly establish Empire in the Houston area, with plans to expand our Texas footprint into the Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth markets, as well," James Miller, division president of Empire's Texas homebuilder division said in an announcement.
