Florida’s housing market has continued on its path of steady growth, according to new data released by Florida Realtors. Median prices rose and single-family home sales and values both increased in January 2016.
The median single-family home sales price jumped to $199,000, which was up 13.7 percent from where it stood in January 2015. The number of single-family sales also rose, reaching 16,529, which marked a 2.7 percent increase from January 2015.
Condo sales prices also saw a big increase of 10.9 percent from a year prior and settled in at $152,000. January was the 50th month in a row that median sales prices increased year-over-year for both single-family homes and condos throughout the state.
