With winter setting in across the U.S., homeowners are firing up their fireplaces, and Zillow says that more and more homes are turning to gas fireplaces over traditional wood-burning models.
The benefits of gas fireplaces, according to Zillow, center around the fact that no actual combustion occurs in the fireplace. This means that they can be built nearly anywhere in the home without having to worry about combustible walls or floors. In addition, gas fireplaces are thermostatically-controlled, allowing easy temperature adjustment.
