The median price of existing homes in the fourth quarter was $208,700, The Wall Street Journal reports. This is up 6 percent from a year earlier.
This is based on data from the National Association of Realtors. Out of the 175 metro areas covered, 86 percent posted increases in their median price on finalized sales. According to The Wall Street Journal, the low supply of homes available for sale is driving the gains.
