Home Sale Prices Usually Lowest in Winter

A NerdWallet survey finds that home sale prices in the nation’s largest metro areas typically peak during the summer, dip in the fall, and are lowest in winter, potentially saving buyers thousands of dollars. Homes cost 8.45 percent less, on average, in January and February than in June through August.
