According to the Wall Street Journal, economists at the International Builders’ Show said strong job growth and improving consumer confidence will accelerate home buying in 2015.
“The leading reason behind a better year this year is that the overall economy is doing better,” David Crowe of the Homebuilders Association said at the trade show. Freddie Mac chief economist Frank Nothaft said that he expects new-home starts to increase by about 15 percent in 2015.
