Iowa has the highest annual growth rate of construction jobs, with a 16.52 percent rise in year-over-year state-level employment.
The data comes from NAHB’s analysis of July regional employment data from the BLS.
Other thriving states for construction employment include Hawaii (12.89 percent year-over-year change), Idaho (12.63 percent), and Colorado (10.88 percent). The national average growth rate is 4.55 percent.
