A total of 33 of the country’s 50 largest cities reported a slowdown in population growth between July 2013 and July 2014, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Cities in the Northeast and Midwest experienced the most slowdown as well as other bigger cities and coastal areas. An analysis from Kenneth Johnson at the University of New Hampshire found that 12 of the largest 14 cities in the North and Midwest saw smaller population gains than in the previous year.
