Austin, Texas, and Riverside, Calif., are top destinations for people moving away from larger metropolitan areas, data from the U.S. Census Bureau reveals.
Approximately 18 percent of people who moved out of some of the nation’s biggest cities last year, 8.5 million people, went to midsize cities.
Still, Los Angeles takes the top spot as a destination, with almost 245,000 people relocating there from other metro areas, Realtor.com reports.
