Demand for single-family home rentals remains strong during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite stay-at-home orders, investors have been able to continue leasing homes.
The CEO of Invitation Homes told GlobeSt that occupancy climbed to a record-high 97.2% in April, as the company paused sourcing new acquisitions. Residents have been moving into the company’s properties at the same rate as last year—faster than they have been moving out.
Demand for single-family rental homes is increasing as would-be buyers are postponing purchases during the coronavirus recession, said the CEO of American Homes 4 Rent. Demand for homes increased significantly in April, while generating record levels of showings.
