A new ordinance in Sugar Creek, Missouri, that restricts the use of agriculture on properties in the city is forcing a family to get rid of their front-yard vegetable garden.
The new ordinance says that vegetation must be kept 30 feet from the street. The owner of the property says that he cannot grow vegetables in his backyard because he only gets a couple of hours of sun there and wants to grow healthy produce for his family. Neighbors have complained that the garden looks unsightly.
