The National Association of Home Builders and its construction industry partners are teaming up for COVID-19 Vaccine Awareness Week from April 19 through 23. The goal is to encourage construction professionals to receive vaccinations and help the country end the pandemic, says NAHB. According to a recent survey by Construction Dive, 46% of eligible construction workers plan to forgo vaccination despite the industry’s high rates of COVID-19 in some areas of the country. Experts from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will host a webinar on April 21 to discuss the importance of vaccinations in the construction industry and answer any questions.
The free webinar is being held specifically for members of Construction Industry Safety Coalition (CISC) organizations, of which NAHB is a lead member. Register now.

Are the COVID-19 vaccines safe?
Some people may be concerned about getting vaccinated now that COVID-19 vaccines are available in the United States. The CDC acknowledges that COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective. Millions of people have received COVID-19 vaccines under the most intense safety monitoring in U.S. history. The CDC recommends you get a COVID-19 vaccine as soon as you are eligible.
