Vermont topped the list, as 83 percent of residents have a savings account. Also, 49 percent of Vermonters have more than a grand saved. The state’s median household income is $59,494.
The rankings are dominated by East Coast states, including New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island.
