Summer has come and gone, and for the Dallas area, it was the third summer of tight housing supplies. Though the temperature is cooling down, the area’s low inventory means the Dallas market will stay hot for a while.

The average time it takes to sell a house in the region has dropped to less than 40 days, “one of the lowest levels in more than a decade,” the article says. In contrast, the number of homes for sale in the region is less than half what it was a decade ago, despite a much larger population today.
