According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, the recent devaluation of the Chinese yuan made buying all things American more expensive for Chinese buyers.
“Add to that the plunging of global stock and commodity prices, and the result is that there's a pall of uncertainty now hanging over the Seattle area real estate market that has become a favorite target for overseas investors,” the article says.
