Realtors who responded to the National Association of Realtors’ February 2017 Confidence Index Survey expect the median home price change in the next 12 months to be 3.8 percent. The state of Washington has the highest median expected price growth at nearly 6 percent, followed by Oregon, Montana, Utah, Colorado, Michigan, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Rhode Island at 4 to 5 percent. Looking at the values over time in selected states, the median expected price change appears to be increasing again, indicating that respondents expect demand to remain strong even as home prices continue to rise.
