According to the Wall Street Journal, suburbia has “had it rough in the last few years,” as the Great Recession led to many foreclosures there and more people moving closer to city centers.
But a new twist to suburban life can be found if residents install solar panels and purchase electric cars. This will cut down both utility costs and gas for the commute to nearly nothing (and later, perhaps even nothing at all), while also decreasing the disparity between carbon footprints of city-dwellers and suburbanites.
