Where are contractors thriving the most? Thumbtack released a Small Business Friendliness Survey to see where in the country countries rated their local government as being more friendly.
Responses were received from 3,578 contractors coast-to-coast. The many rules that govern home improvement projects hint to why in 75 out of 95 cities Thumbtack analyzed, contractors have a more negative view of their local government.
The cities where contractors have a favorable view of local officials include Greenville, S.C.; New Haven, Conn.; Albany, N.Y.; and Tampa, Fla.
