MP Global Products‘ versatile new acoustic underlayment, Sound Buffer, is made from 100 percent virgin latex rubber and designed for use under many types of flooring, from luxury vinyl to hardwood. It can be floated, stapled, nailed, or single- or double-glued. Its 1.2 mm thickness and density of 25 pounds per cubic foot minimizes impressions and indentations. Sound Buffer comes in 36-inch-wide 200-square-foot rolls, with or without seam tape.
