As the technology sector continues to thrive and expand, women are finding new opportunities in the field in markets across the country.
SmartAsset named the top 15 cities for women in tech based on four factors: gender pay gap, income after housing costs, women as a percentage of the workforce, and four-year employment growth.
Washington D.C. was found to have the best balance of high wages and job opportunities for women and was ranked first. Other good cities include Kansas City, Mo., Baltimore, Detroit, and Indianapolis.
Altogether, women make up a quarter of the tech workforce in 2015.
