The housing recovery isn’t spreading throughout the nation. Many areas see large numbers of individual homes losing value, even if the median home value of the area rises overall.
Zillow’s data shows that 28 percent of homes lost value between August 2014 and August 2015, compared to 22 percent in the pre-bust era of 1998 through 2005.
