According to a recent survey, 85 percent of Gen Xers and Baby Boomers said that they wanted their elderly parents to age at home rather than at a senior care facility.
Forbes reports that around 60 percent of respondents said that they feel that older people have a more positive experience in their homes than in an assisted living facility.
When asked why their aging parents still live at home, the majority of respondents, some 58 %, said it was because of the comfort and dignity associated with living independently.
These results come a Senior Helpers survey of 1,000 people between ages 45 and 64.
