Ohio Representative Robert Latta introduced a bill that would prohibit class-action lawsuits against appliance manufacturers whose Energy Star-labeled products are found to not meet EPA requirements. According to the New York Times, those who oppose the bill say the lawsuits hold manufacturers accountable for their products’ performance.
