Boulder, Colo., is securing land for a 44-unit housing development, but residents of a nearby neighborhood vehemently oppose the plan, as City Lab reports.
The residents have started a petition to block the development, listing 14 reasons from traffic to population density to the protection of a firefly habitat.
City Lab highlighted the group’s pet concerns: “Our neighborhoods are already teeming with dogs and this proposed plan of 44 units will surely increase the community dog population including the need for more Animal Control enforcement for off leash violations,” the petition read.
