Between 2014 and 2015, Florida saw an increase of 200,000 net new movers, the largest increase in the nation, according to the Washington Post. The figure counts people who move between states and not immigration from abroad.
Other states that have seen population increases include down south neighbors Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina, along with Texas and Colorado.
Illinois lost the most residents, seeing 105,000 people pack up and move elsewhere. No Midwest or Northeast states saw an increase in domestic migration.
