The severe drought that has affected Central and Northern California for three years may leave a dozen of small communities without water in 60 days, the Russian Times reports.
Gov. Jerry Brown declared a drought state of emergency back in January and water restrictions have increased in the state. CBS Sacramento reports that in a mobile home park north of Oroville, the water supply is so tight that it is shut off entirely between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Families have to rely on one remaining well, which is a five mile drive, to buy drinking water for themselves and their animals.
