Needing a car to get around New York City? Fuhgeddaboudit!
Redfin ranked the nation’s most walkable cities and New York once again earned the top spot. It earned a 89.2 Walk Score, which is based on population density, walking distance from amenities, block length, and general pedestrian friendliness.
San Francisco (86), Boston (80.9), Miami (79.2), and Philadelphia (79) rounded out the top five.
Walkability is about convenience, quality of life and everything outside the four walls of a house. When you live near the people and places you enjoy most, you can spend less time and money on transit and more time doing what you love.
