The River Falls EcoVillage in western Wisconsin won the “Best Affordable Project” in a Green Home of the Year competition.
The eco-friendly community, located in western Wisconsin, was started in 2012. The remainder of the 18 homes are expected to be finished next summer. There are 10 EcoVillage households and more than 30 residents already living in the single family and duplexes that use less water through rain and stormwater harvest applications and achieve net-zero energy use.
