According to Fast Co. Exist, the International Energy Agency (IEA) reported that aggressive move to energy efficiency and renewables could keep the world’s temperature increase under 2 degrees.
When crunching down the numbers, a move toward energy efficiency and renewable energy would require a $44 trillion in investment by 2050 that would net $115 trillion in fuel savings. More good news from the IEA is that solar energy can now meet an ever-increasing share of energy demand, for both photovoltaics and solar thermal systems.
