The Orange County Register reports that its local housing market has been “catching fire since the Super Bowl.”
Demand for existing homes in the O.C. surged – 2,891 new escrows opened in the past 30 days, double from the start of the year and up 18 percent year-over-year.
But not everything in the market is sunny, as the number of homes officially listed for sale hasn’t budged. “The county listings total of 5,443 homes for sale is all but flat from a year ago,” the Register reports.
