With a small gender wage gap and low female unemployment, Vermont was named the best state for working mothers by Business Insider.
The rankings are based off of a survey by WalletHub and factor in metrics such as women’s median annual salary, daycare quality, and childcare costs. Parental leave policies were also folded in.
Minnesota, New Jersey, Delaware, and Connecticut round out the top five.
