The New York Times recently dubbed architect Thomas Paino’s two-family rowhouse in Queens, New York, as the “ugliest house in Queens,” Salon.com reports. To the house’s defense, the outlandish appearance of the home was intentional. It was designed to make a statement, and it succeeded. “I don’t really care what people say,” Paino told the Times. “So long as they’re talking about the house and the environment.”
