Many Americans searching for a new apartment have had to pass on a prospective unit because they could not make time to physically see it. A new app offers apartment hunters convenience with remote tours.
The on-demand platform from Tour24 lets users do a self-guided tour of an available unit on their own time. The app verifies the identity of the prospective renter to give access to the unit's data, and an on-site tour of the community, The Washington Post reports. Currently, Tour24 services the Northeast, with more markets anticipated to be coming online in early 2019.
When you’ve got a full life — busy with work, errands, friends and perhaps a family — carving out time to search for an apartment can be difficult. A recent survey of 1,000 adults commissioned by Tour24 found that more than 40 percent of adults have searched for an apartment in the past two years but that 4 in 10 passed on an apartment because they couldn’t find time to see it.
