Last decade, farm-to-table and organic food was considered a niche market. Today, there is a Whole Foods Market in nearly every city. New England builder Douglas McDonald says the “Pure House” will go through the same progression.
The Pure House is a 6,000-square-foot five-bedroom home that is constructed with a toxin-free, air-tight building envelope.
“This type of construction results in a home that takes care of health and well-being. This is a radically different way to build a house, and is the wave of the future,” McDonald told The Hour. “This is going to be adopted in the same way as farm-to-table foods were.”
