Researchers at the Brookings Institution’s Metropolitan Policy Program looked at the ratio of a city’s highest earners to the lowest earners.
Their report reveals that in major cities, the top earners were experiencing income growth, while the incomes for the poor didn’t budge.
Atlanta gets first place for the city with the highest inequality. This is followed by San Francisco, Boston, Miami, and Washington D.C.
Cities that are more equal include Albuquerque, N.M., Columbus, Ohio, and Raleigh, N.C.
